Saige Bistro is Fairmount’s newest organic cafe featuring specialty coffee bleands, sandwiches, and salads. BYOB brunch service will begin September 25th! In June 2016, Ehsan Wahdat expanded the Saige brand from his original location on Temple University’s campus which opened in 2014, named Zagat’s top 8 coffee shop. Saige is “Passionately Delicious.”
When we are fully engaged, we connect, laugh and uplift the lives of our customers, even if just for a brief moment. It might start with the promise of a perfectly brewed coffee or a delicious bite to eat, but our work goes far beyond that. It’s a break from outside worries, a place to meet friends. It’s really about human connections, about enjoyment, sometimes slow and savored, and sometimes faster. But always full of humanity.
At Saige Cafe we are committed to using the best possible ingredients in everything we serve. We seek out local, natural and sustainable ingredients. Guests know from every bite they take that we only use the best. From our signature fresh ground coffee, to locally grown fresh produce to our naturally antibiotic free meat and poultry, we strive to maintain a healthy quality meal to everyone.
Saige Bistro at 16th and Wallace Street has been totally renovated and its beautiful inside with lots of seating for customers and a private back room. The entire cafe is available for private parties and its decked out in white subway tile, Edison bulbs, and chandeliers.
After traveling the world for 5 years, researching and testing out the best blends and coffee beans, Ehsan worked with his best friend at Redhouse Roaster ‘s in NY to create some amazing coffee. They deal directly with the farmer’s to get the most out of every bean. Saige Bistro even offers Cold Brew and pour over coffee which has a cleaner flavor for even the biggest coffee snobs.
The most popular specialty blends include:
- Columbian– medium roast full of Inga mystique and smooth with rich hazelnut, warm caramel, and a cocoa finish
- Mexican Oazaca– fair trade organic blend bursting with typica and bourbon- balanced and bold.

Jump start your mornings and boost your immune system with our blend of Echinacea, Ginsing, C-1000, passion fruit, wildberry and mango.
The all new BYOB brunch menu at Saige Bistro will kick off September 25th featuring fresh squeezed juice mixers, Fresh Fruit Parfait, Belgian Waffles, Omelettes, French Toast Sticks, Brunch Burger, and more.
Saige has got a bunch of lunch options too. Try a Veggie Burger, or a wrap. We loved the Grilled Chicken Panini and Turkey Club piled high with fresh sliced turkey breast, bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato and ranch dressing on wheat bread. And all sandwiches come with pickle on the side.
Saige has got a lot of great salad options too. The Thai Chicken Salad was our favorite and loaded with grilled chicken, mixed greens, red peppers, cashews, edamame and carrots, served with homemade Thai dressing. The Chef Salad is a great option for guys too, made with romaine lettuce, fresh sliced ham, sliced turkey, shredded cheddar cheese, cucumbers, half of hard boiled egg, tomatoes, and our homemade ranch dressing. The Cranberry Walnut Salad is also a great option for the upcoming Fall season with mixed greens, fruit and nut quinoa, shredded carrots, edamame, walnuts, cranberries, and raspberry vinaigrette.
