Capofitto is celebrating summer with a weekly Pizzata, late night happy hour, as well as some beautiful new seasonal menu items. Pizzata is an Italian slang term for pizza party at the end of the school year. Celebrate summer with $10 pizzas from 8-10pm on Monday and Tuesdays.

Inspired by artisans in Italy, you won’t want to miss a chance to try some of the best Neopolitan pizza in the city. Pizzata will be available through the end of summer offering the signature Marinara Pizza with San Marzano tomatoes, oregano, garlic, and Sicilian extra virgin olive oil and Margherita Pizza with San Marzano tomatoes, fior di latte mozzarella, Sicilian extra virgin olive oil, pecorino Romano, and basil.

Capofitto’s menu offers a vast variety of Neapolitan style pizzas. Some of our favorites offered year round include:

  • Diavola with San Marzano tomatoes DOP, fior di latte mozzarella, spicy Neapolitan salami, extra virgin olive oil, pecorino Romano, basil
  • Pugliese with artichokes from Puglia, fior di latte mozzarella, ricotta, sweet capocollo, Sicilian extra virgin olive oil, pecorino Romano
  • San Lorenzo with provola (smoked mozzarella), house-made sausage, mushroom ragu, pecorino Romano, Sicilian extra virgin olive oil, basil

The summer menu items at Capofitto are a rainbow of colors and flavors on your plate. Ingredients are sourced locally from the best possible providers. Don’t miss the Local Zucchini Salad from Green Meadow Farms with fiore sardo cheese and pistachios tossed in a lemon vinaigrette. The Caprese Salad for 2 made with local heirloom tomatoes from Green Meadow Farms, burrata from Maplewood Farm in Bennington, VT, accented with olive oil poached rainbow cherry tomatoes from Green Meadow Farms, Sicilian olive oil, and micro greens from Green Meadow Farms.

You’ve probably never tried Panelle Fritte, a traditional dish of chickpea fritters from Palermo. Served with marinated Green Meadow tomatoes, sugar peas, and herbs this dish is sure to satisfy. Carnivores will love the Summer Bolognese a hearty slow cooked local pork with white wine and fragrant herbs over fresh paccheri. The Summer Pizza is topped with mozzarella di Bufala, provola (smoked mozzarella), speck, basil, and Green Meadow Farms zucchini pesto.

Last but certainly not least is the Dessert Cheese Plate with domestic and Italian cheeses like StraCapra from Lombardy, Beehive Promontory whisky-washed from Utah, Provolone Piccante and King’s Creamery Blue. Served with fry bread and housemade mostarda. Then all you need is a glass of Rose.

If you’ve saved some room, you can’t miss the famous Capogiro gelato, named World’s Best Gelato by National Geographic magazine, served here at Capofitto. Some of our favorite flavors include Pistacchio Siciliano, Stracciatella, Bananas Foster, Bacio, and Fior Di Latte.
