The 150-seat restaurant in Ardmore, PA is complete with a full bar, private dining area and outdoor patio with a fireplace that can accommodate up to 30 additional people. The menu is crafted with authentic old-world grandma recipes from Mexico, using quality, fresh ingredients. Dishes include everything from tacos, enchiladas, to a wide range of seafood options, expertly prepared using traditional recipes with a focus on fresh and house-made ingredients.

Every guest is encouraged to begin their experience with Guacamole prepared fresh tableside en molcajete (with spiciness to order) by a specially trained server on a rolling cart piled high with ripe avocados, bowls of onions, tomatoes, and cilantro. This delicious guacamole is served alongside warm tortilla chips and salsa de tomate y jalapeño.

Other Apertivos we enjoy include Queso Fundido, baked queso Chihuahua, rajas, chorizo, cilantro, and white onion. This hot molten cheese is served in a cast iron skillet with a side of warm corn tortillas. This is an authentic Mexico City dish. Cheese lovers will also enjoy the Quesadilla de Calabaza made with squash blossoms, roasted green chile, queso Chihuahua, crimini and button mushrooms, salsa verde cruda, pico de gallo,  and crema.

For the arrival of warm summer days we love to suggest an order of the Tacos de Pescado, crispy fish tacos (usually mahi mahi but sometimes tilapia) with pickled red onion, shredded romaine, salsa molcajete, each served on 2 warm corn tortillas.  The fresh fish is delivered daily and also used in the Ceviche del Dia. The Iron Skillet Tacos are also very popular with various protein options like Pastor with pineapple and guajillo marinated pork, grilled pineapple salsa, avocado salsa verde, and chile de arbol salsa.

Get the entire menu served to you at the bar as well. They offer a wide selection of cervezas, sangrias, creative house-cocktails and a special focus in top-notch margaritas made from a full bar that’s stocked with over 75 tequila selections. We particularly enjoy the smooth flavors of Tequila Clase Azul Resposado. Try it in a unique flight which includes a tasting of 3 tequilas, 1oz. each. We loved the Mexican flight. Stop by Tuesdays for special $15 flights. These select tequilas are made from the fermented distilled sap of the piña, or the “heart” of the blue agave plant. Enjoy them slowly and respectfully.

And who doesn’t love a margarita? Try the unique Mango Margarita with Herradura blanco tequila, triple sec, mango, and fresh squeezed lime or La Sandia Margarita (Watermelon) with organic Casa Noble blanco tequila, Cointreau, fresh watermelon, agave nectar, and fresh squeezed lime- perfect for the upcoming summer months! Plus stop by every Monday to enjoy $6 house margaritas.

For larger entree dishes look to the Platos Fuertes. Some of our favorites include the saucy Enchiladas Mixtas with skirt steak, grilled chicken, chorizo, guajillo cream salsa, sweet plantains, cilantro, and queso fresco. This indulgent dish is easily big enough to share. Another highlight is the Salmon Manchamanteles with roasted salmon, plantains, pineapple pico de gallo, and mole manchamanteles. Made with wild caught salmon from Veracruz, this dish is also gluten-free like most of the menu. Vegetarians love the Chile Rellenos con Hongos, poblano peppers filled with baby spinach, crimini and button mushrooms, goat cheese, raisins, pine nuts, and salsa ranchera.

Many dishes come with a side of black beans and rice, but we also love to recommend the delicious Platanos con Crema which are fried sweet plantains drizzled with rich crema, and crumbled queso fresco. The most popular side may be the Elotes de la Calle, traditional roasted Mexican street corn cooked on the cob and then sliced off for the table seasoned with chile molido and crumbled queso fresco.

And to make the ending of your meal just a little bit sweeter, each guest leaves with small bag warm churros and a tiny “worry doll” as a souvenir. Besito is also a great place to celebrate your birthday! A complimentary slice of Tres Leches cake is given for guests on their special day.

Make your reservations today easily on OpenTable. Besito Ardmore even offers delivery via UberEATS.
