Cuba Libre’s Lunch Contest

Don’t miss this chance to wine yourself lunch for a year! Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar, in Old City is awarding one lucky diner with FREE LUNCH for an entire year. Anyone who visits Cuba Libre for lunch in January can complete an entry form to be placed into a random drawing, and *drum roll please* a winner will be randomly chosen on February 1, 2018! One lucky guest will win a free Eat-A-Frita burger, paired with a Batido (tropical milkshake), every week once a week for a year.

Cuba Libre’s Eat-A-Frita burger is offered for only $7 and can be ordered with one of five different patties — from beef and pork chorizo, organic beef, turkey, tuna, or black bean and mushroom. Each patty is paired with a unique sauce and a stack of shoestring fries, and served a top on a King’s Hawaiian® roll. Lettuce, tomato, and housemade pickles are complimentary while 10 different toppings are available to add on for $1 each ranging from Pineapple Guacamole Cubano, Provolone cheese, Swiss cheese, Cheddar cheese, bacon, fried egg, grilled portobello mushrooms, sliced avocado or grilled onions. As is typical, the Eat-A-Frita is served with a Batido, or tropical milkshake made with fresh fruit, whole milk, and Franklin Fountain ice cream. Flavors like mango, guanabana, passion fruit, strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla will instantly take your tastebuds to a tropical oasis. Plus you can add a shot of dark rum for only $3 to make it an adult beverage!

“There isn’t a more classic Cuban lunch pairing than a Frita and a Batido,” said Chef-Partner Guillermo Pernot. “While the beef and chorizo burger is the most traditional, we’ve created something for everyone at Cuba Libre, and with so many different toppings to be added, plus shoestring fries on top, the Eat-A-Frita becomes a monster of a sandwich. The winner of the drawing will be one lucky guest!”

Additionally Cuba Libre’s lunch menu, offered Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.,  includes a Rápido Lunch, featuring a three-course platter with chicken, seafood, or a vegetarian meal. All three courses being served at once is ideal for those working on a tight schedule who still want to enjoy a quality lunch. The menu also features signature appetizers like Pineapple Guacamole Cubano with avocado, grilled golden pineapple, roasted jalapeños, fresh lime juice, extra virgin olive oil and crispy plantain chips, Levanta Muerto Seafood Soup otherwise known as seafood soup to “raise the dead,” with shrimp, bay scallops, crabmeat and mussels. Its served creamy in a coconut milk-fortified “Chino-Cubano” broth with truffle oil. There are also lots of gluten-free menu items including salads and larger traditional Cuban plates like Ropa Vieja, and Arroz con Pollo.
