Sip-N-Glo Juicery

“Let’s make healthy a habit” is the motto of this juice shop and they’re making healthy taste so good. Believe us when we say that you will surely be glowing after sipping on these drinks!   Sip-N-Glo is serving up fresh cold-pressed juices that are nutrient-dense and loaded with fruit and vegetables. They also offer smoothies and shakes. Juices are pre-packaged and made on a daily basis while the smoothies and shakes are made to order.

Founder Kristen Lubsen always dreamed of opening a juice bar. Her dreams became a reality in May 2013 when a location on South Street across from Whole Foods became available, and Sip-N-Glo Juicery was born.

About a year later, Lubsen decided to expand her company, and opened a second location in Rittenhouse Square. With a new location came a  new line of products, including juices now made with a cold-press juicer.

Each juice is tailored with specific health benefits in mind. You can walk right in the store and ask what they recommend to cure your ailment. Perhaps you had a few too many drinks last night? You might be pointed to their “Hangover Helper”- a cold-pressed juice made with pineapple, coconut water, celery, lime, jalapeño, and cilantro. Feel a cold coming on? No worries, the “Flu Fighter” is made with orange, carrot, kale, lemon, and ginger.

No water is added to any of Sip-N-Glo juices (other than the lemonade), so you can be sure that these juices are super packed with nutrients and vitamins (and not to mention they’re super delicious).

Shakes and Smoothies are made to order. Their smoothies are great for a meal replacement. The “Honey Love” is by far their most popular smoothie – made with Honey, Cinnamon, Banana, Spinach, Greek Yogurt, and Almond Milk. This smoothie immediately transports your taste buds to a warm summer day- the honey is sweet, the yogurt is tangy, you’ll be coming back for another cup the minute you walk out the door.

Do you love the combination of strawberry and banana? Try the “Better Together”, made with Banana, Strawberries, Plain Greek Yogurt, and Almond Milk. The bright pink color of the drink is fun, it tastes delicious, and definitely fills you up.

There are seasonal specials every month, with warming spices in the winter, and fruity flavors in the summer. Each drink is 16 ounces, (except for the energy drink which is 10), and they’re sure to quench your thirst.

Take a look on their shelves and you will find local products like “Peanut Butter Cup Peanut Butter” made with peanuts, raw dark chocolate, cacao, wildflower honey, and sea salt; Fresh Wildflower Honey from the Philadelphia Bee Co.; and “Fuel Up Nut Cluster Trail Mix” made with cashews, dark chocolate chunks, banana chips, almonds, oats, maca, and cinnamon.

Everything is made in house- the peanuts are ground for the peanut butter, the fruits are pressed for the juices. Complimentary ginger and lemon can also be added to any of the juices, and there’s spice shakers with seasonings for an extra kick!
