Whether you’re craving an evening dining from the sea or the land, you’ll find the uniquely crafted menu from Bonefish Grill has a little something for everyone. Starting in January 2000 the first restaurant opened in St. Petersburg, Florida, Today there are 210 corporate owned-and-operated restaurants across 28 states, but local restaurants can be found in King of Prussia, Willow Grove and Langhorne, PA or Marlton and Deptford, NJ. The restaurant started with the founders’ ritual of receiving, inspecting and hand cutting fish daily, which is still practiced by the partners at Bonefish Grill upholding their commitment to quality.
We stopped by the newly renovated location in Marlton, NJ to check out some of the newest menu additions including the Imperial Dip which is a creamy blend of tender shrimp, bay scallops, lump crab, mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses, served alongside seasoned house-made tortilla chips for dipping. The most popular dish at Bonefish Grill is also our favorite, don’t leave without an order of the Bang Bang Shrimp. These shrimp are crispy and tossed in a creamy, spicy sauce served with chopsticks over a bed of romaine lettuce. We’re also fans of the classic Ahi Tuna Sashimi which is premium sushi grade, sesame seed crusted and seared rare with wasabi and pickled ginger.
Bonefish Grill also offers a variety of “handhelds” and smaller portion dishes like the Blackened Baja Fish Taco filled with blackened cod, mango salsa, shredded cabbage, and lime crema inside three warm tortillas, with choice of fresh greens or french fries. The Grilled Salmon Superfood Salad is a filling entree sized portion with romaine and kale, ancient grains, feta, avocado, pickled onions and sweet potato bites, tossed in our house vinaigrette, and finished with a citrus aioli.
Those who might not love seafood will be happy to enjoy many other dishes like the Fontina Pork Chop with garlic, and prosciutto, in a mushroom Marsala wine sauce. How about enjoying a massive 18 oz. Bone-In Ribeye Steak and of course there is also the option for Surf & Turf. The signature wood-burning grill at Bonefish also makes each of these entrées uniquely appetizing and full of wood flavor.
New entrees on the menu include the Italian Seafood Risotto filled with shrimp, bay scallops, asparagus, tomatoes and red onions in a pesto parmesan risotto topped with fresh basil. We’ll be back to try the Thai-Inspired Georges Bank Sea Scallops which are wood-grilled over rice noodles in a coconut broth infused with fresh tomatoes, red onion and ginger and crispy onions. There is also Rhea’s Norwegian Salmon fresh wood-grilled salmon, topped with jumbo lump crab, sautéed spinach and lime tomato garlic sauce, and choice of two fresh sides.
In addition, Bonefish Grill is offering new Fish Frydays every Friday through March 30th. Each Friday during Lent guests can enjoy the new Angler’s Catch with tempura-style, hand-battered crispy cod, sea scallops and shrimp served on a bed of French fries with house-made coleslaw and a side of cocktail and tartar sauce for under $20.
The Caribbean-Style Fresh Cobia is also new to the menu, inspired by the Caribbean Islands, this wood-grilled fresh Atlantic Cobia is served over freshly grilled pineapple with three jumbo shrimp, and topped with pineapple salsa, a house-made vanilla rum butter sauce and toasted coconut and choice of 2 fresh sides. The Partner’s Selection of Fresh Fish allows guests to enjoy the freshest seasonal fish simply wood-grilled and topped with choice of one of their signature sauces: Lime Tomato Garlic, Mango Salsa, Herb Pesto, Pan Asian Sauce, Lemon Butter or Oscar-style. One of our tried and true favorites from Bonefish is the Pecan Parmesan Crusted Rainbow Trout topped with artichoke hearts, fresh basil and lemon butter, highly recommend.
