Davios, you’re a dream… years after moving to Philadelphia I find myself leaving a fabulous lunch and still being grateful for this restaurant. After dining all over the city, I truly appreciate a restaurant where the staff is trained expertly and the food is consistently satisfying and impressive without being pretentious.

Take advantage of BYO Sunday’s, happy hour which offers free appetizers at the bar, and Opentable for reservations. For Sunday brunch (11:30-2:00) they offer $5 mimosas and glasses of wine, as well as 1/2 price drafts and springrolls!

Davio’s restaurant requires you to take an elevator to the building’s 2nd floor, and it is so worth it. The restaurant itself is flooded with natural sunlight during the day and also has a rooftop available. The high ceilings and white palette from server’s jackets to tablecloths give the restaurant a warm, clean, and modern feel. Davio’s is described as a Northern Italian steakhouse, but it really is so much more to me.

If I could afford to eat here on a regular basis I would. This restaurant embodies everything good about dining out and its the perfect place for a business lunch, date night, or special occasion. The hostesses, servers, and bartenders all treat you with genuine sincerity you would expect to find at a neighborhood restaurant while being totally professional and efficient in their service. I couldn’t count how quickly my water was refilled or dirty plate cleared.

The menu itself offers some impressive cuts of meat and a variety of Italian essentials- pizza and paninis for lunch and such favorites as Tagliatelle Bolognese, Homemade Gnocchi, Veal, or Linguine with Clams. I constantly try not to fill up on the bread basket and fail as I devour their Rosemary Foccacia and handfuls of Homemade Parmesan Potato Chips.

Everything I’ve had at this restaurant has been absolutely exceptional, even something as basic as their Roasted Tomato Bisque is packed with flavor and poured right into the bowl tableside. My other favorites include the Tagliatelle Bolognese, Scallops, Penne with Applewood Smoked Chicken, Sundried Tomatoes, and Walnuts. My favorite steak was the 8 oz. Prime Flatiron.

I am usually to full for dessert but tend to cave when they bring over their dessert tray display. But even if you pass on dessert they bring you complimentary biscotti with the check! They have a fabulous menu for restaurant week and if you get the opportunity to come here I’d say you should absolutely take it.
